SNAPSMACK
Photo blogging is back, bitchez.
Throwback photo blogging software to circa 2001-2005, but underpinned with new tech. Free, open source, opinionated, and just goddamn weird. Emphasizing privacy, ownership, and a small resource footprint for broke ass photogs (that was redundant) using tragically cheap shared hosting. Fediverse ready because you need some social and social needs some ethics. Trying to fill the gap left by Greymatter, Pixelpost, and classic Insta before it sucked, but doing it badly with false confidence.
All jokes aside, it's a software love letter from one crusty old photographer to a time on the Web he misses, an homage to software he loved using, and a gift to other photographers who are just as sick as he is of having both their asses and their art pimped out, er, monetized (yeah) by d-bag billionaires. You can't keep a good blog down.
p.s. It is up and running and scales to thousands of images/posts, no sweat. Check out the finished skins, the sites aren't demos, they're real.
